Located at 271 Silver Creek Road, the Alice Schoolhouse is one of the community gathering spots in St. Mary’s. It is utilized for many community events including potlucks, holiday celebrations, and board meetings. Its rich history provides the perfect place to meet and discuss all things St. Mary’s - past, present, and future.
St. Mary’s Property Owners’ Association (POA), St. Mary’s Glacier Metropolitan District (SMGMD), and the St. Mary’s Glacier Water and Sanitation District (SMGWSD) host monthly Board Meetings at the Alice Schoolhouse.
POA - 3rd Monday of the month at 7pm
SMGMD - 3rd Monday of the month at 6pm

The Alice Historical Society (AHS) acts as a steward of the rich cultural heritage and history of the town of Alice and surrounding areas of our high mountain community.
Their museum is in the lower level of the Alice Schoolhouse. It is open several times per year during special events. Other annual AHS events include the Rock House Flag Raising and Pancake Breakfast.
